Tri-anim Conducting Live Transactions as a Global Healthcare Exchange Member
WESTMINSTER, Colo. and SYLMAR, Calif.-May 15- Tri-anim, a nationwide specialty products supplier for respiratory, anesthesia, and emergency medical services (EMS), has begun conducting live transactions with customers via the Global Healthcare Exchange, LLC (GHX), as a distributor member. Tri-anim is transacting business with All Saints Healthcare, a regional integrated delivery network (IDN) in southern Wisconsin, and will soon be similarly connected to Sturdy Memorial in Attleboro, Mass. and the Iowa Health System.

After successfully integrating with GHX in just three weeks time, Tri-anim became the fastest supplier to begin conducting live transactions with customers after joining GHX.

Tri-anim became a member of GHX at the request of healthcare systems that were already GHX members and were interested in purchasing products from the California-based supplier via the Internet-based trading exchange. “Our customers are increasingly using e-commerce to increase the efficiency of their purchasing," said Dan Pearson, Tri-anim's vice president of sales and marketing. "Our relationship with GHX is vitally important to ensuring that Tri-anim customers can order products whenever and however they choose."

With technology that offers flexible connectivity options, GHX is designed to make it faster, simpler and easier for participating members of the healthcare supply chain to conduct business with one another. GHX is building the industry standard-based AllSourceÔ catalog, with standardized product information provided and verified by suppliers. Complementary efforts by hospitals to clean item master files and establish standardized hospital identification numbers will further increase the accuracy of business transactions performed through GHX’s Internet-based trading exchange.

“As an open and neutral trading exchange, an increasing number of participants in the healthcare supply chain are choosing to join GHX, because it offers them the opportunity to connect to vendors and customers through just one internet connection,” says GHX President Mike Mahoney. “The value GHX offers will only increase as more and more trading partners are able to conduct business with one another through the exchange.”
